Here are some FREE things going on in and around St. Clair County & Jefferson Counties for the Kids this weekend!

Babies ‘R Us:

Birmingham Museum of Art:

No scheduled events.

Museum admission is always FREE.  They have a children’s play area with supplies for making crafts as well as Bart’s Art Cart under the stairs with blocks, books and more!  (All these things are available every day!)

Barnes and Noble:

Saturday, May 7th, 10:00am
Adult Coloring Club Be a part of the coloring club! Join us in the Cafe each month on the first Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00AM and try out the activity that is all the rage – adult coloring books! We will provide the materials, you bring a friend and enjoy a little stress therapy.

Storytime: 
In celebration of Mother’s Day, read about becoming an expert grandma sitter in How to Babysit a Grandma followed by Mom School. In Mom School a little girl imagines where her mom picked up all her amazing skills, like fixing a bike tire and baking cupcakes. Join us afterward to make a card for your mom or special caregiver.

Fish Feeding & Aquarium Education  Come join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm and Saturdays at 1:30pm for an educational experience on the fish in our 24,000 gallon tank. Test your knowledge to see if you can recognize the different types of fish in our aquarium. You will get to see the feeding habits, characteristics, and learn interesting facts about the fish native to our area!  (Days and Times may vary by location.  Find your location here to see what they offer)

FREE Photo for Mom! What better gift could you give your MOM then a picture of yourself or the whole family!!!  We will be doing Mother’s Day Pictures this year on Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th of May. One Free 4×6 Photo.  An option to buy a photo package as well.

Sloss Furnaces:

No specific events this weekend but the grounds are open for self-guided tours on from 10am-4pm Tues-Sat and 12pm-4pm on Sundays.  If you’ve never been, it’s a super cool place to walk around!  And it’s FREE!

FREE LEGO Mini-Build:
 Build a mini Star Wars Millennium Falcon!   Plus other in-store fun!  And you can shop 20% off all LEGO Star Wars sets!
