Here are some FREE things going on in and around St. Clair County & Jefferson Counties for the Kids this weekend!

Birmingham Museum of Art:

Saturday, April 9th
While there are no specific kid events going on at BMA this weekend, museum admission is always FREE.  They have a children’s play area with supplies for making crafts as well as Bart’s Art Cart under the stairs with blocks, books and more!

Barnes and Noble:

Saturday, April 9th at 11:00 am
Storytime: Let’s Play
It’s only a yellow dot … but what a dot it is! Readers won’t be able to resist this jaunty, adventurous dot, nor its invitation to play along. Join us for Storytime featuring Let’s Play. Activities will round out the fun.

Bass Pro Shops:

Saturday, April 9th, at 1:30
Fish Feeding & Aquarium Education  Come join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm and Saturdays at 1:30pm for an educational experience on the fish in our 24,000 gallon tank. Test your knowledge to see if you can recognize the different types of fish in our aquarium. You will get to see the feeding habits, characteristics, and learn interesting facts about the fish native to our area!  (Days and Times may vary by location.  Find your location here to see what they offer)

Kids can make new friends and have fun when they bring their collections to trade.

Sloss Furnaces:

No specific events this weekend but the grounds are open for self-guided tours on from 10am-4pm Tues-Sat and 12pm-4pm on Sundays.  If you’ve never been, it’s a super cool place to walk around!  And it’s FREE!
